Baby Dean :: Family Portraits

Remember this adorable shower? Well, Baby Dean has joined the world, and he is too adorable for words!! I was honored when mom Lisa asked me to take some pictures of the new arrival, who wasn't quite so new by the time we were able to get something scheduled. He and big brother Dillon were so well-behaved that day, given that they were pretty pooped from a week-long family wedding! And I love how coordinated the outfits are...Mom had on some amazing Christian Louboutins!

Note: The first 3 images were taken when I went back to visit Dean 2 weeks later....can you believe how much he's grown?!!

Just Sophie :: Personal

Today I found this image of our 2nd dog, Sophie, on my hard drive, in a folder I haven't looked at in months. She is standing on our patio at our Texas house....the weather looks similar here in Orange County today. Sophie is a funny dog....she will always let me take her picture, while Jack, on the other hand, will bury his head or turn away every. single. time. He has some sort of 6th sense about the camera, I swear, even my iPhone camera! We miss that house and our TX friends, but are enjoying life in SOCAL again!

Ken & Laura :: Anniversary Party

This party was AH-MAZ-ING!! My friend Melissa, her husband, and her siblings helped plan a surprised 30th Anniversary party for Melissa's parents, and it went off without a hitch! No details were left out....there was a vow renewal, bar, cake, food, and even a candy buffet, in coordinating colors, of course!! Ken and Laura had NO idea the party was for them, they thought we were meeting to do some family pictures, and they were shocked to see their closest family and friends waiting for them when they walked through the door! It was truly an honor for me to witness it all! Congrats to Ken and Laura!!!

5 Ladies and a Bun in the Oven :: Boudoir

Sunday I worked with make-artist and hair stylist Tiffany Georskey on a boudoir shoot for 5 hot ladies, one of whom will be a mommy in a mere 4 weeks!! The girls were super excited, and I think they will be excited to see themselves all glammed up!! The hair and make-up was fabulous, great job Tiffany!!

Lisa :: Baby Shower

Recently I was honored to be able to photograph a very special baby shower that my friend Michelle co-hosted for her friend Lisa. They have been fabulous friends since their UCI days, so it was only natural for Michelle and another friend Sammie to go all out for their dear friend. Not a detail was missed, including the awesome donut favors!!

Furry Friday?

Cheesy blog title....Guilty!! But how can your resist saying "awwww!" when you feast your ojo's on these little guys! Go on, try....see, resistance is futile! (nerd alert!)

Many of you know Jack and Sophie already. They are rescue dogs that came to us by way of Tassie's Hope and Petfinder.com. Jack was first, then 2 yrs later, we decided, on most days to his chagrin, that he needed a buddy/friend/playmate. So we adopted Sophie. And I may have slightly overlooked the fact that she was only 1.5yrs old at the time, still a puppy pretty much. I was too blinded by her cuteness, can you blame me?

In April, we moved back to Orange County, and our rental condo has a skylight. Every afternoon, these two follow the block of sun that slowly moves across the living room...ah, the life! Andrew and I often say that when we come back in the afterlife, we want to be one of our dogs....

Kendra & Cody :: Destination Wedding, Part II

After the ceremony, we headed to the beach for some not-so-formals, including the infamous bridal party "jumping shot!" Note: it is important to clarify if you want people to jump on 3 or after 3!!

And I think the guys though it was their tryout for "America's Next Top Model," they had their struts down!

Kendra & Cody :: Destination Wedding

They did it! Kendra and Cody tied the knot in a beautiful beach ceremony at the El Dorado Royale Resort in Mexico! Kendra went all out, she planned every last detail, and mom Becky was her florist extraordinaire! The heartfelt ceremony was delivered by a friend of the couple, and there was not a dry eye on the beach, even I had to "blink one back" a few times! We had a fabulous time at this amazing resort, and even got to reunite with a lot of our Dallas friends, and make some new acquaintances from North Carolina! Hope to see you in Ashville soon!
