Daniel G :: Lemonade Stand mini

After a few scheduling delays...we were finally able to shoot Daniel's Lemonade Stand pictures! He was so adorable in his little suit! The rolled-up pants say, "I'm dressy, yet casual!"  Luckily, no lemons were harmed during shooting...thou I think more lemonade wound up on his suit that in his mouth!  What a handsome devil!

Baby Yanchak Makes 4 :: Family Maternity Session in Plano

Babies, babies everywhere!!  At least, all over my blog lately!  I'm always honored when people ask me to do maternity photos for them.  It's such a special time, whether it's your first or fifth baby!  My good friends Kendra and Cody, and of course Miss Harper toughed it out in the sweltering Texas June heat for some sweet photos before their new baby boy arrives in a few weeks!  Cody and I took the brunt of the suffering...as we both have a bazillion chigger bites as souvenirs of the shoot!  Gah!  I can't wait to meet their new addition!

Tanika & Eric :: Maternity Shoot in Plano

I love reconnecting with past clients now that we're back in Dallas!  I met Tanika thru a wedding website back in 2009, and thou they were married in Detroit, they had me take some local engagement photos for them!  It's so fun to see how everyone's lives have changed, and now Tanika and Eric are expecting their first baby, a girl, due later this summer!  They were such troopers, enduring heat, bugs and burrs (and Eric's jokes) at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano for this shoot!  I can't wait to meet their bound-to-be-gorgeous baby girl!

Lemonade Stand Mini-Sessions :: Family and children

I'm so excited to announce my first "themed" mini-session!!  After scouring Pinterest (naturally) I decided to do a Lemonade Stand...made with my own blood and sweat...okay, mostly sweat!!

So here are the details for the mini's!  Please email me or FB me if you have any questions.  I'm anticipating (hoping) spots will fill up quickly, so don't wait if you want to book!

• Dates are Saturday June 28 and Sunday June 29
• $175 for 3-5 digital images, delivered via email to you
• Times are 6:00pm and 6:30 both days
• Free 5x7 print for the first 4 clients who book (1 already gone!)
• Kids only, no adults
• Kids need to be able to sit or stand, or be supported by a sibling
• I have a blanket and stool as options, if kiddos don't want to sit on the ground
• Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before your chosen time.  If you are late, you will need to wait unit the end of shooting that day.
• Location will be emailed to you when you book

Gibb Family :: Mini-Shoot

What a small world we live in!  The Gibbs were looking for someone to shoot their family photos, and contacted me after her husband Bryan got a referral from our friends Kendra and Cody. (thanks guys!)  After meeting them at the shoot location, I immediately realized that I knew Bryan, we are former co-workers!  A lot has changed for both of our families since those days, and the Gibbs now have a beautiful 8 month old baby girl, Zoe, who was definitely the star of the show at our shoot!  She was a rock star that day, here are just a few of my favorites!

Happy Half-Birthday Baby Giuliana! :: Personal

Or perhaps this post should be titled "The Grumpiest Princess!"  In her defense thou, it was hot out and her first time sitting on grass...it's not the softest stuff in the early August heat here in north central Texas!  So this was a super quick session, I tried to make it as painless as possible for all of us...what you don't see are Jack and Sophie hovering nearby as well!  Her little "crown" is made of lace and a healthy dose of fabric stiffener, thank you once again Pinterest!

It has been quite some time since my last post, and as you can see, a LOT has happened!  Mainly, we had a baby!  Oh, and moved back to Dallas!  I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that a very rocky road has finally led us to our little miracle baby, and back to our house in Frisco, TX.  Life has been a whirlwind since February 5, and it's just the beginning!  

I am promising myself I will get better at taking pictures of G with something other than my iphone, but come on, it's just so easy and it's always in my hand.  As my friend Mandi Contreras reminded me before I left CA, she will only be little once and I need to take more pictures!  I know!  I know!  So here you go!  

And for those who see enough of her on FB and Instagram, well, what's one more time!  Love you all!

After shooting Baby EJ's newborn pics, I could hardly say no when Jamie and Eric asked if I would shoot Jamie's family pictures, including her parents, sister, brother, and their kids/significant others!  They were a fun bunch, easy to photograph, despite little Livie's reluctance to smile when asked!  We still managed to get a lot of good shots in Ladera Ranch that evening!  What a beautiful family!!

Baby E.J. :: Newborn

Meet Baby E.J.! (or Eric Jamison, as he's more formally known!)  E.J. got the honor of being the subject of my first newborn shoot!  I have always heard what hard work these shoots are, and this one proved to be no exception!  I was hot and sweaty, and more tired than the baby by the time it was all over!  E.J. ended up doing great, once mom Jamie got him "good and drunk" on milk!!  These were taken when he was just 14 days old, and he's already a little over a month old now!  Oh, how the time flies!  Pretty soon he will be asking dad Eric for the car keys!
